Default where to set the dot to get correct TDC

ok, so there is another post just below talking bout engine TDC. i dont need to know that. i already have the engine setup at TDC.

What i do want to know is, do i align the dot and the mark before i insert the crank angle sensor to provide TDC for the sensor....
    OR
do i have advance/retard it a tooth so when i put it in it lines up the marks when its installed. ill have to remove the rocker cover to see it tho.

    which is right.
a pic to show which marks i mean (Click to enlarge)

whats the upper mark for then? it looks like its for alignment. like its meant to line up with the dot.

the hole at the top looks like its meant to let oil in to lube the shaft, not be a marker...??

Dont align thedots at all, One of the teeth on the wheel is enlarged. In that pic it looks like it is the light coloured one to the left about 2 teeth over from what 1200det marked.
This should be aligned with the notch on the body, which slide86 has marked in the previous post.

The holes are to let oil in.

mines a bigport gze. i figured it out by removing the cover and looking at where the thingy (damn whats the word) is pointing. i could figure out where it should be when engine is at TDC.

just like pointing the rotor button at No.1 cylinder when putting a dizzy back in

How could you have a larger tooth on the dizzy , Wouldnt that bind up on the exhaust cam that its running off when rotating.
