All the flywheels should be the same, only differences between the gens were the turbochargers, injectors and wastegates.

If Irecall corectly the gen 1 nad 2 had 9 inch flywheels and the gen 3 had a 9.5 inch flywheel. You can use the 9 inch on a gen 3 as long as you have the matching clutch and cover plate.

The measurements quoted are for the clutch face only, the physical dimensions are the same if not quite similar and at least in regard to the starter motor, they are the same (remember, you are talking about the same block and transmission between Gen 1/2 and Gen 3 so there is no reason for them to be different).

The point he was making is that id didnt matter what version you have, that as long as the flywheel matches the clutch you will be sweet.

There are also a few photos floating around for the J160, some in particular show them compared to a W58 and a T50 gearbox. IIRC it wasnt that much bigger, the main differences were that the bellhousing and starter motor bulge were bigger and that the shifter is obviously much further back. Use those terms in a search (try google too as 3 character terms arent serchable unless they are popular so you might get luck on the others)

The j160 fitted in my ra23 wihtout massaging the tranny tunnel and it orginally came with a w50!

The j160 comes with a bellhousing yes, clutch + pressure plate but no flywheel sorry.
