Default 324mm x 22mm rear brake rotor to suit mk4 supra

basically have two options here. either look for a aftermarket hat to accomodate the hand brake (hard) and run a outter ring such as brembo/alcon (easy), orelse try find a one piece rotor that will suffice.

basically just need something compatible with the mk4 handbrake with the following dimensions or as close to in the heading. 22mm thick and fitting the brake shoes being the critical ones.

    is their any available options?

    cheers

machine the original disc down to use as the hat and fit an after market rotor to it?

Im not a big fan of the idea personally but sometimes its hard to come up with better solutions on a budget.

Or custom make the hats and get them hard anodised to avoid excessive wear, but its going to wear regardless.

    interesting suggestions

currently chasing leads on late model stis which use a 190mm park brake (same as supra i think) and can get aftermarket 2 piece rotors from project mu (fuckign expensive) however there are to suit a 316x20 mm rotor. so emailed them to see a typical aftermarket 324x22mm ring will bolt onot their hats

also bmw run a 324x22 mm rotor on a 135 series but havent found out the park brake diameter.

also leads on v35 skyline which im chasing up atm too.........

why does it have to be so hard

machine a new hat, like TRR suggested, but machine it out of 4140 steel to avoid wear problems with the handbrake. 4140 will also be plenty tough enough to handle bolting to the outer rotor

cant you sleeve a rotor with the correct size handbrake diameter (as long as the new rotor is larger of course) and press it in

this is done as a brake conversion for tiget moth aircraft using a motorcycle disc

keen on making another pair of hats

are the aftermarket items aluminium hats and steel lined for the HB?

cross drilled stop tech rotors = 270 each ring.....

    could be a cheap option

not sure how much a shop would charge for that kinda work and i bet they not interested in doing it either

    Re: 350z brakes

Call Vsport in Arndell park Sydney, Tony will be able to answer that question for sure.

Just don't ask too many questions without buying something as he may get upset

    called vsport today..very helpful

they had a brembo 350z rotor in stock but it measured 170mm. which ive been lead to believe thats the pre 05 350zs

a full 2 piece stoptech version, 322x22 = $1400. gettign up there in price but is pretty much itendical to wehat i want as it will match my frotn brembo rotors perfectly

he didnt have any listing of rotor dimensions and only one part number for a 350z track rotor.

called up nissan today and they had 4 different part numbers. one being for 05+ models but couldnt tell me the difference between all 4 part numbers which sux balls
