If in doubt power out
spal,
go thru JAR (just alloy radtiators)....nathans one of our forum sponsors and will give you a good deal on them,
+1 for the Spal's they are awesome! I am running 2x12" thin ones with the skew blades, they do an awesome job! So much thinner and quieter than my SuperCheap Calibre fans!

If you go to their website (http://www.spalusa.com/store/main.as...oryBody&c=FALO) they have pdf's with full dimensions of their fans.

Been talking to the guys at pwr gone off the idea of 2 10'" fans & adjusting rad abit further back & fitting a spal 16" fan as has alot more cfm output that 2 little ones. Now will have to think of some other set up with ac condensor????
you do realise you only need the thermo fan while you moving slowly, or sitting in traffic....
your thermos shouldnt kick in at anything above say 30ks, as that should be enuf airflow to keep it cool.....
Hi,
These fans look interesting.
What fits in the shroud of an RA28 radiator? I may get an electric fan for Trini when she gets her 18R-GTE.

+1 for Spal, very good for compact spaces. They are a bit pricey though so shop around, sometimes you can get them rather cheap.

The Subaru guys have found there's one from Mercedes & one from BMW which are thinner than the SPAL (I'm thinking like 40mm or something).
But you'd be looking at least $250 ea.
But you need them, you need them.
I'll see if I can dig up the part numbers as they are listed on another forum (which is a lot crappier than this one)
Spal FTW at 35mm thick, they don't come much thinner than that.
LOY BOYs fans with them curved blades

One of them is classy and the other one is raw.
If you wish to get the BMW fans, try a stealership here then get onto:

or

I often get BMA to get me parts from BMW North America with significant cost savings over local, even when including shipping! They may even be able to get parts from the OEM suppliers, which will be even cheaper.

I am doing my air conditioner condensor setup like a hiace van setup with the condensor laying flat with 2 thermo fans on top and steal the shroud from the hiace and put it at the rear where the spare tyre goes.
Makes it easier to setup intercooler and radiator and keep the fans on the front without having condensor in the way too.
