I can't see it having a negative affect on your cars performance. But my question is why would you want to???
Alex
I would like to ask if I would like to install 2 BOV on my Celica GT4 engine, 1 is on the throttle piping , and the other one is on the turbo piping.
Will that reduce the power of the boost ? Or will it have negative outcome to my car's performance ?
Kindly reply please. Thanks a lot.

yes i would like to know too !
Ok thanks noted. Basically I just want to make the sound of my blow off valve louder.Originally Posted by ra_28

yeah, id say eight is about the minimum amount of blow valves youd wanna use. personally i prefer to use 30-40 BOV's between the turbo and cooler, with another 15-20 between the cooler and throttlebody. As a result my car now makes over 6000KW@afw
and i because i have pointed all the choofy bits at the ground it makes the car fly for few meters whenever i change gear on boost. it pretty suck, you should copy me and be cool.

Hes from indonesia give him a break , i heard the more bovs pulls the chics
Sorry I don't get what you mean. Why do you have to use so much BOV ??Originally Posted by celicapain

Yeh they are just pulling your leg, they are being sarcastic in response to your question about 2 BOV they replied in the "silly" manner to prove that 2 BOV isn't the best idea

Hi,
There will be no bad effect on your Car as long as either BOV is not leaking under boost.
I don't think two BOV's will make it sound louder, as the one closer, I'd assume that one BOV will vent first in the area where the pressure builds up higher, and the other one would not vent.
If you want it to sound louder and if that is extremely important to you, place a BOV near your Intercooler piping just after the Intercooler if you have a front mount, that way the noise of the BOV will not be muffled by the bonnet lining. If you want, you can make a larger trumpet for your BOV to amplify the sound.

yeh.. you really only want 1 BOV..
theoretically only one would work, the bov closest to the throttle..
If you want loud, get a turbosmart type3 .. or HKS SSQV .. ?
Research has shown child in front seat causes accidents, accident in back seat causes child
To save money, just get any BOV and play around making different trumpets for them.
Serious waste of money BOV's are.
Example of an unknown person who put his BOV near the front bar for a louder sound :

Gee thanks for the tips. But unfortunately I do not use FMIC. My intercooler is inside the engine bay, close to the throttle body, although it's not the OEM intercooler.
^^ kinda looks like the shear force of that blow off valve nearly blew the guard off![]()
