Microtech will be able to unlock it for you, probably a charge of $50 or so.

Does the manual state how to unlock it?

As CrUZida noted only Microtech or one of their agents would be able to unlock it, for obvious reasons

Have you tried just entering 0000 as that is the default code and he may have locked it but not entered his own code meaning it would still be 0000, unlikely but worth a try.

I suspect there would be, but I don't think it would be marked.....either that or just a back up battery to clear memory. You would have to open it to see for yourself though.

If the total cost is minimal then just let Microtech do it.

Youll probably delete the maps to if you do a hrad reset.

Get someone that can download the maps, then hard rest, then reload maps? You may need to look into it further.

I'd be worried about losing the configuration set in the ECU to suit the engine as once that is lost you can't alter it yourself nor save it.

There isn't a battery. We opened an LT10s to have a look inside once.
