3S-GE Gen 1 Camshaft Replacement

Hi People, There are a few camshaft auctions up on ebay for sale. Mainly for 3S-GTE engines. I'd like to know if its possible to replace existing 3S-GE gen 1 camshafts with other gen 3S-G(T)E camshafts, if it will make much performance increase, how much work is involved, and do I need anything else other than the new camshafts (apart from tools to install them ofcourse)

btw, its for an ST162SX Celica.

actually. gen 1 cams are quite agressive , unless you get some big cams, cams from the T veriaties are prob going to be a downgrade

and gen 1 dont have much of a base circle on there cams .not sure if you can use gen 2 or 3 stuff
