    Default Auto for a 3T

Is it possible to gey an Auto gearbox for a 3T motor? I have searched but they seem hard to find.
Does any body know what else fits on it?
    Please Help

    Cheers Andrew

    Hi,

It'd be an A30(?) wouldn't it? The same as used in the TA22/RA23 Celicas?

3T was in a T18, so maybe see if there's an auto T18 being wrecked or something and use that box.

    Hi,

No, sorry. I am not up to speed on auto boxes for T or even R series engines that much. Like most people here I am more familiar with the manual boxes.

However, the Borg-Collective-Toymods-Superbrain which forms the quazi-intelligent creature we loosely call the forums, usually has an answer. It may take a day or so, but this thread will be read and answered by someone who does know. Such is the beauty of having 13000 forum members, as someone usually knows the answer.

Similar thread but the other way around might give you some clues...

although possibly autos from behind 1G's may have electronic control/computer - no idea of this myself...

As far as I know (and have seen) all T18s (only car sold in Aus with a 3T) came as a manual.

Bolting up a TA22 auto should be a breeze, and probably the easiest/commonest possibility. As suggested, auto from a G series engine may also bolt up.

I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.

Would a transmission from a Corona fit?
What would be required to fit a a340 transmission out of a cressida fit? Would it need an ecu? Or could you use something aftermarket?
