Im interested in those, just have to check what thread the Tokico HTS102s are. Think they are 14x1.5mm though, using teh T3 upperhatsOriginally Posted by The Real Roadrunner
ID of the spherical is 18mm. Depth is around about 20mm.Originally Posted by The Real Roadrunner
These Cusco strut tops were bought to suit a KE35.
Will update those photos above with some decent quality ones.
The ones I am getting machined up with have an internal thread of 12x1.25 to suit the Koni 86-1991 Sport inserts I have.

Here are some pics of my Cusco strut tops assembled on to my strut insert. Was good to come in to work this morning to find my afternoon shift boys had finished off my couple of machining jobs
Things I have had done to make the Cusco strut tops work with the Koni insert and Otomoto Top spring hat are:
Machine new top nut/sleeve
Machine top hat to take a CAT hardened washer - this way the shock shaft load is going onto a replaceable steel piece rather than the soft ally top hat
Bored a 15mm hole in the top hat to suit the Koni strut
Machine new spacer to go between the top hat and the spherical bearing, so there is clearance for the adjustor bolts
Looking forward to getting this into the car!!
Are they the bolts that Cusco supply for the adustment? Damn they don't mind having them hang out a mileCan you just cut them down to the appropriate length?

Yup they are rather long. Will be looking at cutting them down, but at the same time I dont think I will get enough camber out of these alone to worry about it.
I just bought new ones which fit properly.

When you had that nut machined up was it just cutting a new thread into the stock one, or remachining the lot?

Option 2 is what shelldrake did and it works brilliantly.
The old one was an M14 thread I think, the one I had made was an M12, so the whole thing was machined from scratch.Originally Posted by takai
Ah ok, so reverse of normal. I might be interested in the M14 ones if you still have them, just have to confirm my Tokico thread

I am going to hold on to them - they suit another spec strut insert I have on my shelf at home (which I think are a Tokico actually) sorry!
Could get some machined up for you if you wanted though.
