There are 2 types in the pic above.
You have one, so that only leaves the other one...

    Ok noted. Thanks.
Could you tell me the other sender comes out of which car ?

Another thing is that since the this W58 box is not meant for my engine and the vehicles itself, since I have done the following mods:
    > using different spec of wheels from the Supra's
    > using different spec of diff from the Supra's
    > etc

So my question is that how can I calibrate the level of accuracy of this electronic sender ? Do you get my point ? Please refer to my attachment. This is what my car looks like

Any G52-W58 for the 80's and early 90's will have the bit you need (its in the far top right of that pic)

A combination of the 2 speedo gears will get your speedo accurate.

One of the gears is that white plastic one you see in the pics above.
The other gear is inside the gbox, and require disassembly to replace.

You can also get mechanical correction boxes, but I don't know where from.

Do you think is there any adaptor which can connect this electronic sender to manual gauges. Kindluy reply. Thanks.

Ya, hence I'm telling him to remove the digital sendor, and install the mechnical one as per the 'other' style in that pic...

I think you might have confused him into thinking that he needs the type that screws onto the mech cable drive type... and somehow that will magically drive the mechanical speedo and give him a digital output...?

    Anyway.

I don't think he has even said what car it is out of?

If its the other one, you can unscrew the electronic sensor (as seen in the top right) and screw your speedo cable back on. You can then use the output from the dash to drive the Apexi RSM as JP detailed in his first post.

    Hi...

Do you still remember me ? I have found the speedo sensor which you were asking me to look for.

Please refer to the attachment and please see, is it the right part that I'm looking for ??

Spread M22*1.5 Right hand and 8 pulse ? I am using the W58 gearbox with the electric speedo sensor, but my gauges on the dashboard are all cable speedo sensors, therefore, I can't tell how much I'm going and the trip meter is not working too, so I do not know when I should change my engine oil and etc.

I have another file which is in the form of pdf, since it's too bis, therefore, I cannot send the file thru this forum. Please send mail to: [email protected]
    Thanks.

    David,

In order to connect your speedo cable back up, you will need to replace whatever is in the side of the gearbox with one of these. (if it doesn't have one already)

Your cable will screw directly into this, and all your dash gauges will work again.

Now, to get your Apexi RSM to work you have 2 options.

    Option 1

There is an SPD output wire from the dash which can run the Apexi RSM. Wire this up and all will be good.

    Option 2

Get something like this. It screws onto the above unit, and your speedo cable screws onto it. Giving you both a mechanical and electrical output. Wire up the electrical output of this to the Apexi RSM

Or connect the dash back up and use the digital out from the dash unit to the ECU.

You may already have this part installed. Get a photo of what is on the box to determine exactly what is there.

Also, once you connect your speedo cable back up, the Apexi RSM will stop working unless you do Option 1 or 2

Ok. Will try to take photo of what's installed on my gearbox. Will get back to you again. Thanks.
