    Default Annoying Leak

Hey guys ive started to get a pretty bad water leak out of one of the hoses under neath my car. I assume its one of the radiator hoses but i thought id see what you guys think.

    Its an MA70, 7MGTE.

I think its this hose from the diagram

I dont know too much about these sort of things so i thought it would be worth posting here to get other peoples opinions and to see if anyone else has had the same problem.

At this point in time im just looking at taking it in for a full service and getting them to sort it out.

Is hard to say just by looking at a picture. It could be coming from higher up. Is there any rust in the cooling system?

I've had a steel pipe similar to that one get a pinhole leak once, 7M as well.

The pipes you've circled in the EPC are hard pipes and bolted to the side of the engine, not that low down under the car.

The hoses you've circled under the car are probably from an oil cooler, since they run as a pair all the way to the front of the car.

So the water leak must be coming from above them.

Dood, it looks like you have circled the auto transmission hoses. (Hopefully no coolant leaking from them!)

If it is a coolant leak, follow the hoses and check for coolant that could run down that line.

Errr i just took it in for a full service, and now my car doesnt boost at all. I have no idea what the fuck they did but im not happy. If i have my foot down for more then 4k revs it just stalls and my airbox sounds like an air conditioner.

Not happy, going to rage at them tommorow.

Found the problem, they tore a massive hole in the hose going to my blow off valve.

for the water leak check the heater hose on the back of the head
the twisting force from the motor often wears these hoses out and causes a leak.
    ive replaced 3 locally

    Great stuff,

Always remember to ask mechanics what has been done to the car, that way you can learn a few things yourself.
