As a guide, my 14x5.5" steelies + 175/65 tyres weighed basically the same as my 16x6.5" mags + 205/45 tyres.
Hey guys
I'm trying to decide what to do for rims on my Corolla. I want something in 15x6/6.5 and am half considering a set of OE steelies and hubcaps from a later Corolla/Yaris/whatever fits.
Just interested to know how they compare to your average alloy wheel for weight? Also interested if anyone has any pics of this kinda thing on an AE82. I remember seeing a yellow AE82 with hubcaps about 18 months ago and through it looked great in a strange factory kinda way.
Otherwise I'm after something that will look good in 15s on an AE82 if anyone has any pics/examples. I don't want to spend big dollars, definitely no more than $200/rim.

pretty sure the corolla steelies are 15x5.5 anyway.
see if you can find some second hand ZZE-122 corolla mags though.
They are 15x6 and very light weight for what they are.
Pre-facelift ZZE122 Ascents had 14x5.5" steelies (same size as AE92>AE112), this changed to 15x6" at the faceliftOriginally Posted by MR22ZZ

And my factory alloy 14x5.5 with 185/60 were heavier than my current 16x7 with 205/45 - a lot of it will come down to amount of material due to design. But generally steelies will weigh a decent bit more.

I'm not sure how much this will help you but Link weights for the popular aftermarket rims...
