Does ST205 OEM camshaft fit into ST185

The 205 camshafts have another 0.5mm lift, so should be a little improvement on the exhaust.

Roundy I heard that you ever have experienced installing GT28RS turbo into the 3SGTE ST185 engine ? if it is yes, please advice me of what mods and parts needed in order for the turbo to fit into my engine ?

I want to repeat what you meant . Are you saying that if I want to change the camshaft, I should change to the following part:

Inlet cam : Gen3 N/A 9.8mm and appox 250 duration lift ( Ex ST205 )
Exhaust cam: Gen2 N/A extra 3mm lift ( Ex ST165 )

If it is, Sorry but I still do not get it. Aren't these parts come out from an N/A engine ? Why are they better than my stock camshaft ?? please explain again cos I'm new to automobile. Thanks a lot. Really appreciate it.

best out of stock cams is gen3 3sge N/A inlet cam 9.8mm lift and approx 250 deg duration
and for exhuast i think the gen2 3sge NA cam has 8.5mm lift and 244 deg duration.

stock gen2 3sgte cams which you have are 8.2mm lift and 236 degree duration.

more lift and duration on the cams means more power and ability to rev in simple terms.

N/A means naturally aspirated (ie: non-turbo)

any drama's with running the gen 3 NA cam in a Gen 2 shim over bucket setup??

Also would the gen 2 group A cams be similar to the NA Gen 2 cams??

don't know the specs on the grpA camshafts.

i've heard that the gen2 head requires some machining to fit high lift cams but not sure at what lift they're required.

also i'm lead to believe that the reason people go shim under is to prevent the shims being flicked out with the older setup. tho i've not actually read of this happening tho i guess it must have somewhere.
