hi guys im going to start building my 4Age 20v St motor. as my rings are gone
the head is all done its got aftermarket ecu also

what whould i need and replace for the bottom end and need to do

i am going 12.1comp
and for parts im just looking around for now ?

should i go Forged or cast iron pistons
also will be running nos into the motor in the later on the track ?

whould it be ok running it on 98octane
and should be reving around 8-9k mark?


how much would i looking at also ?

building a hicomp cost BIG money, i would go forged, arias sell a set of ST pistons to suit and toda sell a set as well each are around the grand mark depending on what our dollar is like at the time

I wouldnt be suprised if you got some detonation with running 98 octane either.

With the bottom end though i would be trying to keep it nice and light i would also get it balanced very well it helps.

How did you build the head up already considering you dont know what the bottom end is going to be? etc what cams, whats been done to the head to handle further stress?

Heard plenty of good things about Spool rods, they seem to be cheapish.
