Default 1jzgte lux wont start.... all the help needed

    hey hey everyone,
coming to the end of my conversion, went to start it yesterday, cranks over but wont fire!!!!!! DAMMIT! i've give a quick rundown so hopefully you can help,
it an 88 2wd hilux with a 1jzgte with standard ecu and auto out of a jzz30 soarer, it cranks over but wont fire, i dont know whether it is the fuel ecu as when its connected its not starting the fuel pump, i'm getting power to the pump, but not from the fp wire which goes to the possitive on the pump and also goes to the diagnosis plug in the engine bay, what i tried yesterday is just direct power to the pump to get fuel up to the rails and still would not fire.... i think i'll just get a tachometric relay off sideshow....
however the other thing i was wondering, could it be that i'm not using certain wires on the ecu, like A/C or traction control???? car also doesnt have power steering but that shouldnt affect car starting... well i wouldnt think so .... from what i've said can anyone think of a possible reason???
all help is good help, cheers,

    Things that spring to mind...

    • Have you got power to all your injectors?
    • Have you got power to the igniter?
    • Have you got power to the engine ECU?
    • Have you setup M-REL correctly?
    • Can you check for error codes (and have none)?
    • Have you checked the injectors are not stuck?

    Cheers

hey guys, looked at it this afternoon....
i have spark, power to the ignitor power to ecu i do have an error code, dont know how to actually check for them, i have a feeling it has something to do with fuel, like i said i cant get the fuel ecu to power the pump, so i powred pump direct and still wont fire and there doesnt seem to be fuel coming out of return.... im so lost!!!!!

Have you checked for fuel flow out of the fuel filter & also at the inlet to the rail, if its flowing well & with pressure etc but no return out of the pressure reulator, you could have a short or fault in the injector's earth ( comp side ) of the wiring & its holding the injectors wide open .. What are the Spark plugs like ..

Man i had the same problem and all mine ended up bein was the crank angle sensor wasnt conected lol

pluged it in and fired first go and boy did i feel like an idiot

Fuel return is the one that runs along the manifold and if u follow from the injector rail to the back of the engine you will see where the fuel feed is.

    see my dodgy labled pic

    cheers nick
