195's fit on a 6.5" rim, what is so good about the 9"rim? Price?
Unless you're going to get some really fat rubber for the rear or want the rims front and rear interchangable.
195's on a 9" wheel JESUS!!!
8's is cool for me![]()

Its a drift thing they love the strecth, might wanna also note guys that in NSW its illegal to have anything wider than an 8 inch rim on the front of a car.
If in doubt power out
Well i know bugger all about drifting, not many 162's out there that try drifting. I tend to just put it side ways around corner by accident.
Yea bummer about that 8' on the front being the max, i can still get 245's under the front of mine. So the stick out 1' past the guards.

You might find that they were put past the compliance with the 9" wide as a standard safety feature. Or that they are needed to carry the weight of the engine.
You would find that standard they have enuff clearance to turn with out having to modify anything. The 8" is on none standard rims.

you shouldn't need to touch the gaurds...maybe just lip them.
i had 15x8's on my trueno, with -11 offset, and they fit perfect with 195/50x15 tyres on them.
all these dickheads think that 'oooh...i've got a ke70, that's the same'...WRONG. the same wheels used to stick out of the guards by 30mm on my ke70.

steve, if you got -11's under the guards, then cuz the +3's are 1cm further inwards i shouldn't have any problems.
thanks for the info.

8 inch wide rim should be an easy fit under an AE86 gaurd. on a straight car, I am always amazed as to what you can fit under the gaurds.
Just check out some of the width of wheels on club4ag they fit under standard gaurds. Then you can always roll/pump/lip whatever.. no real need for fibreglass unless you like the look or want to save weight.
