R154 reverse sensor

Hey guys,
in my supra which has had a 1jz/r154 conversion, the reversing lights don't work although the wiring and globes at the back seem ok and i have checked the fuses. the only thing i can think of is the reverse sensor playing up.
where is the reverse sensor? is my first question and is it simple enough to replace if its buggered?

The reverse sensor is just on the side of the box and it has a wire coming out of it, you can see it in this pic. Quite easy to change or test. Just get under the car and have a look.
