If the 3S is a painful conversion then so would a V6. The problem isn't length, it's overall size and weight, just picture in your head the standard 1.6L 4-cylinder engine getting replaced with a 3.0L V6 in a small FWD engine bay, and you'll see the problem. Or, go look in an SXV10R engine bay and see how much room there is, then go look at a V6 version and see how much of that room disappears. And the Camry has a _much_ bigger engine bay than an AE82.Originally Posted by Shifty

might be tricky with driveshafts between rolla and camry cos id guess at shafts/splines being larger to accommodate the increased torque out of the 6. might well be as simple as swapping hubs though, it is with some nissans. theres also issue of keeping the local road authority happy, in vic they've got rules to do with chassis weight vs capacity, and capacity/cylinder increase limits - not sure about other states though. something to check
id say thats the go!
