FWD (Camry, etc?) V6 into Corolla?

Thet was my reasoning. The AE82 has a fairly large engine bay, so depending on the way the manifolding is done on the V6 engines (eg between banks would be ideal) there will be heaps of room.

So, doing a little bit of visualisation here - The Timing belt cover on the 4A looks pretty close to the brake M/C.... So i'd imagine you're going to have to do something pretty major with that in order to fit the V6 in.

go find a V6, then take some measurements, then come back to reality

The V6 is a tight squeeze into the larger Celica/Coronas.

Plenty of room in back of an ae82 for pretty much any engine-ghetto renault 5?

i can post up some somparison photos for ya ....from my celica taking the 2.2 out and putting a 3vz in....... will show you the difference in room...........








in my opinion............ your engine bay is way too small..... to fit the wider and taller v6.....

but i give you two thumbs up for thinking outside the square....... keep that originality going............

i say 13b rotory......small, compact,,,,,, and bucket loads of power......... if you intended to spend serious cash putting a v6 in...... spend that cash on a 13b swap..........dont know of and 13b fwd............ i know of a 13b turbo awd.......food for thought........
