nostalgia is not what it used to be:
Hey guys,
It looks like Friday will be the night, as for the location - watch this space.
I have a friend who owns a nice quiet pizzeria in Elwood, which is far from our central point of Box Hill.
Would people be happy to travel there instead? Or can anyone suggest a location in the Box Hill area to fit approximately 15-20 people?
It's decided... Elwood it is.
Which pizza shop does your friend own??

Euro Pizza - 9 Ormond Rd Elwood
Arrive between 6:30 -7pm
Ive told him to expect a crowd.
Oh damn why couldn't you pick somewhere closer. It's way too far for me. It's at least 150 metres from where i work.![]()
I get my morning coffees at Turtle Cafe which is next door.
If anyone turns up early, give me a call because i won't bother going home. I'll be somewhere in the vicinity.

I won't be able to make it unfortunately - I think if I cancelled "date" night I wouldnt be coming to Winton with all my anatomy intact.
Can I suggest a couple of things that might be good to discuss at the meeting?? They are..
1. Set a running order for practice and the race (ie this person will run first, this person will run second, etc) and this can then determine the order people go to scutineering in and the order people do practice in etc.
2. Based on the regs, work out a time everyone has to be there on saturday and sunday - i got there later each morning than every one else and I think I missed something useful.
3. Work out a plan of how we are going to operate in the garage and paddock, my suggestions:
- next car due out is lined up in the garage with driver in the car ready to go (like last year).
- garage isnt used as workshop space for changing wheels and refueling, rebuilding the club car/my car/whoever breaks down etc (unlike last year - cars on stands in the garage meant people couldnt drive in and out of our garage on to the track as needed).
- have three lanes behind the garage in the paddock. the lane directly behind the garage door is to be kept clear at all times so cars can go in and out, and the front car in each lane should be the one due out next/due to go into the garage proper (this worked at times last year and failed miserably at others!)
those were things that stood out for me that needed attention last year so i will shut up now!
oh yeah.. the last one.. have fun![]()
what time do we want to meet there (bearing in mind i dont get off work till 6pm in fountain gate...)
matt dont bust your bum to get there ,as its for the celica team
we have ran out of time , for the rising sun team , unless we can meet some time next week,

ian
nostalgia is not what it used to be:
So Ian is the rising sun team not going to the same meeting? Im sure we can catch up sometime next week yeah?

R.I.P Peter Brock.
righto, i get confused easily...
i still think its a good idea to get together as ive still not met most of the team members, including yourself Ian.
if it cant be over the weekend, i guess it would have to be one night during the week, but not wednesday...
I was under the impression that both teams would be present at the meeting, which is why I asked for everyone’s feedback in regards to the time and location. Personally I think it would be beneficial if both teams were at the meeting.
Any Rising Sun team member who would like to come is more than welcome.
I was thinking that also.
Assumption is the mother of all f**kups...
ok, so can everyone from rining sun who is going tonight please raise there hand now?
