3 of our guys, plus 3 from the Tampered Motorsport team are competing at the Phillip Island 6 Hour this weekend, an update I received at about 2.50pm today has them in the lead by about 10 laps, the event organisers give the teams hourly updates on their placings.

Our combined team came 12th out of 50 at the Phillip Island 6 Hour, they came up with some good strategies so watch out all you Toyoda people - LOL

But seriously..

Did I mention I got a sponsor for the 6 hour for brake pads? I got some QFM pads from GSL rallysport in return for a sticker on the car. They also supplied an adjustable swaybar for a very good price.

I've fitted a new swaybar as the existing one was kissing the sump under hard braking. So I got an AE86 whiteline adjustable which fits good and heaps of clearance.

I cut out some of the rear floor and boxed my surge tank in and mounted the hiflow pump under the car so no more fumes.. I didn't feel I could be out on the track for an extended period of time without passing out from the smell.



I have a small leak on my sump where i've welded the wings on.. So plan to pull the sump off and fix that.

Also the exhaust knocks around hard right handers so i want to find that and modify with more clearance.

Basically just fix some of those pesty things that have been irritating me for awhile.

I don't want to change too much as the last track day I smashed my personal best so figure i've got the setup good. Maybe just some more fine tuning of the Autronic..

Hey I have to buy a set of tyres for the day.. What do you all recommend?

what size rims

15x7 on the rear and 15x6.5 on the front.. I usually run a 195x50x15 but could get away with a 205x50x15 as I think that is easier to find decent track tyres in..

If you can spare the coin, Toyo R888s FTW.

If not, I'd recommend some agressive street tyres like the Toyo Proxes 4s.
