Red face [PER] 1/2 Chassis Removal... Who?

    Hey All...

Well... I've completed my 1/2 cut swap, but now have the 1/2 chassis out the front of my house, and don't know who to contact to remove it.

Have tried a few metal scrap removalist, but most have an answering machine, and never call back??????

Does anybody know who to contact in Perth (South of River) to remove the 1/2 chassis?
My appologies, if this is in the wrong forum group.

    Many thanks
    MIKE.

Chop it up into smaller parts with an angle grinder and throw a bit in with the trash each weekend

Or find a blue skip bin to throw bits into

Just flick through the yellow pages and ring around to see if anyone will come pick it up for free. Might get lucky.

Though i've heard some are now not even paying $50 for whole cars!

I loaded up a box trailer with a bare half cut, 7m block, gearbox, and bunch of other bits of exhaust and stuff, took it all to a scrap metal place a few weeks back... 400kg of metal, 80kg of alloy and got a whole $31 for it

Ring around and see if any scrap metal people will pick it up for free, make sure they have a crane on their truck... otherwise do you have access to a trailer or flat bed ute? Take it yourself

edit: this was in nsw, dunno if prices would be any more/less over west

Take one empty halfcut and one trolley and presto instant removal device. Helps when there is a metal recycler about 1km away

look through the motoring section of the quokka - always adds for ppl to remove wrecks. we just kept calling mobiles until we got one - had a bloke remove a full body series 2 RX7 with other junk thrown in within the same day of calling (got notice from shire it had to move or we would get a fine)

heh nah no one was sitting in the cut while wheeling it. It was a little precarious!

Also the whole thing happened at 4 in the morning. There were a few perplexed drunk people and an arguement between my flatmate and I as to whether we should let it roll down the last hill which resulted in the whole thing falling on its side

Currently in Perth, very few businesses will take complete or incomplete cars away without charging for the service. Laurence Scrap Metals in Malaga (08 9209 9444) are the only exception I know of - they will hiab wrecks away for free still. You can deliver scrap to most merchants and they will also take it for free too.
