Default 1JZGTE inlet manifolds vvti and non

is anyone able to tell me if the inlet manifold off a vvti 1jz will bolt up to a non vvti motor? eg same bolt pattern as apposed to the exhaust side?

The reason i ask is that i will be going a non vvti engine soon and I already have the standard vvti top feed rail modified with some large injectors fitted and would like to know if i have to change anything? I know that the non vvti inlet manifold has a different fuel rail bolt pattern

not exactly sure but anyone with an EPC should be able to tell you.

are you changing the whole engine or just the head?

why not get an exhaust mani built for the VVTi head and save yourself the hassle + effort and keep the smooth power spread the VVti engine has at the same time.

    you have PM also

    cheers

    Hi,

When I did the inlet gaskets on my VVTi the part numbers were specific for that motor so I would assume there may be some differences in port or bolt hole spacing.

And I have just re-checked the EPC and yep it shows the pre VVTi and VVTi to have a different head to inlet manifold gasket. So looks like they are different.

    Cheers,

    Pete

Been quite a few years since I mixed/matched parts between the two, but from memory, different gaskets are as a result of the non-VVTi using a metal gasket and the VVTi using a phenolic type gasket - bolt spacing is identical.
Major differences from memory are injector bosses are slightly different and the VVTi lacks a ICSV casting.
