    Default 2TGEU running rich!!!!

I have just finished fitting a 2TG with factory injection into an old RT40 corona, the AFM unit of is from a 22RE engine as I was unable to locate a genuine 2TG AFM. The engine is running but it is very rich. Has anyone got any sugestions on how this can be rectified? I also noticed that when I remove the black cover off the AFM there is a contact switch that is held open when there is little or no air being drawn through but closes when the engine is running, if i hold this open the engine seems to idle nice but when i let it close is goes back to running rich and rough.

The contact is for the fuel pump control relay. So the fuel pump is only running when there is airflow (i.e. engine running).

You should be able to adjust the tension on the AFM flap so it takes more airflow to move the flap (thus leaning it out a bit).

Make sure you hold the cog before adjusting the tension..

If you pull the lever away from the cog, it will spin wildly and then your kinda screwed..

Dyno would be the best way to tune it... I thought the 22RE airflow meters were considerably bigger than the 2TG?

The electronics are matched to the afm and the fuel injector size and the engine, using mismatched components will have unknown results.
