im not doubting the potential of the 1J, esp with a bolt on turbo guys are running 350rwkw.

But to have a streetable 400rwkw on a stock 1j would be hard to do, but with a few mods easily achieved.

Either way, both of the motors will have to be internally modded to make that power on a reliable basis.

    EDIT: 7m = teh p00.

Sam thanks for pointing out the options but Whatthe isn't asking for them.

There are ppl out there that want to piss some 1 and 2J's off with high powered 7m's

Exactly. As I said in the first post it may be more cost effective to whack in a 2J and drop a mega turbo on it, but wheres the fun and what sort of pride of accomplishment would I get out of that? I've already done on engine convo pretty much single handed, looking for the next challenge now. It can take a long time and cost a lot, I don't mind that too much, the car running as it is will do me for whatever time it takes to build the new engine. It's not like it's a daily driver anyway, just my toy

I saw those pistons on ebay not long ago.

Nice purchase. One thing to also remember is to make sure that your oil system is up to scratch.

Very true apart from the dreaded Headgasket issues when running a Higher HP 7M the oil system is something that needs to be taken care of or you will run into Rod knock issues in no time.

Yes, those are the ones Michael. I emailed the guy after the auction finished without a sale and offered him $750 US + shipping for them. Bargain!

Well honestly the $794.99US the guy is asking is a bit steep for my pocket but then again there that hard to get these days he can ask what he likes i guess and he will get that asking price.
