Default Confirm my 2JZ > NTK O2 sensor wiring and translation

In the last phases of wiring stuff up for the Supra and im just doing the new 4wire O2 sensor after the last one was cut off the loom.

This is the diagram which ive translated:

And the NTK sensor has the following wiring:
    1. White - Sensor Signal
    2. Grey 1 - Power
    3. Grey 2 - Power
    4. Black - Ground

Now im figuring that the OX wire on the diagram is the sensor signal (the wire is shielded too), BR is definately ground according to the diagram and +B 12v IGN. Which means that the G-R is something to do with Heater (according to the HT).

The problem comes with translating that over to the NTK sensor, White is easy, Black is easy. But which of the two Greys is power for the heater and power for the sensor? I dont want to fry the ECU by trying to get it to power the heater rather than the sensor...

from what i can find on the internerd, the 2 grey wires are the heater circuit, so one to power (12v switched ignition) the other to the oxy heater ground on the ecu.
i would give it a quick wack for continuity between all the terminals. and a quick test with a 6-12v battery (from a torch or something) to see if it gets warm when you get the 2 grey wires connected.

    Cheers Mike

Mikie is right. The sensor doesn't need power. The black and white wires are the oxy sensor. The two grey wires are the heater (and polarity doesn't matter for them).

I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.

I use these universal sensors at work a fair bit, but the ones we get have 2 white wires. The white wires are the heater circuit, the black is the signal and the grey is the ground. If you have 2 greys then I would think the greys are heater and white is ground... As Mikie said the heater circuit is just 12v ignition power and earth to switch.

    I hope that helps you

wire off pin one of O2 sensors is green black...
as said, that is ECU grounding the heater.

and as said, there is no polarity for the heater..

Ah, that makes more sense. And yes, if i had translated it properly it would be G-B.

I didnt think about the possibility that the heater would be ground switched and non-polarised. I must be getting sick
