    Default 1ggte -> RA28 Sump question

    Hey guys,

    Would a sump from a 1ggte gz20 be a mid-rear sump (asuming that is the sump I need).

    I have a front sump at the moment (so doesnt fit) and I am not going R&P.

    Thanks,

    Glen

    Yep, you need a midsump that will need to be slightly modified to clear the steering link - I have a few, am happy to swap you for your front sump setup, and could possibly get it to Bunbury for free if Lee/Fodder is up this way to play Volleyball in the next few weeks?

    Some 1GGTE into RA28 use the TA23 crossmember this will allow the front sump to fit,
    This sump is prefered as it holds more oil but its not as simple at the mid-sump setup which will drop into the RA28 crossmenber

    ....RA23 x-member works as long as you have 1g-ge mounts and a spacer plate...

    ...GA70 supra is a mid-rear mount isnt it?
    Rotaries are cool...so why are their owners such cocks>>?

    The 1G-GTE steel engine mounts will also fit with RA28/3 18-R Rubber engine mounts& spacer, the spacer from memory is only needed on one side to clear the turbos (when the factory units are retained)

    The GA70 sump I have is the mid-rear, but they may have been fitted with others types also?
