ur going backwards with the p00 2L lol, i'd hav a gues and say they are the same bro, we get them in a fair bit at work,.
sorry but searching won't accept 3Y or 2-L in the parameters..
i have a 3Y with 5spd box on it, i've heard here and there that they use the same bellhousing as a 2-L?
(putting a supercharged 2-L deisel in)
anyone confirm please?]
cheers, mat

it's a rockcrawler, need superlow down torque...
any one confirm it?
No the Y series bell does not for the L series diesel engine. I think your thinking of the C series diesel engines. The S and C series bellhousing are the same and the Y series bell can be modified to fit the S series in RWD (3SGE etc) so in theory the Y series could fit the C series diesel.
thats what i must have heard, awsome..
so the G53? i think is the 5spd behind this 3Y, there would be a C desiel box bellhousing that would bolt onto the G53... ?
the 5 spd behind the 3Y has just had a freshen up thats all.. so if i could use it, would be good..
surley there would be a 5spd L series bellhousing..
Sounds like your trying to diesel and old Hilux. If that's the case then yes there should be plenty of available L series bellhousings out there to fit your transmission. Although if you're rockcrawling you may want lower gearing. It may be better to also swap the transmission for something with better gears. There should be other options out there compatible with your vehicle. Maybe source everything you need (engine and transmission etc) from one donor vehicle. Or buy a KZN130 half cut and transplant the 1KZTE engine into it, much more power and torque to be had!!
