My Ra-40 was re-circulating ball, so i'd guess the A60 is the first one.
As per the title folks, what was the FIRST celica released that had rack and pinion steering rather then our friendly recirculating ball "steering box" on the chassis rail?
Anybody know for sure?
I know the A60 series was rack, and the TA22 was recirculating ball but in between Im blank so someone like to fill me in thanks?

Nah no bets. Was trying to think of a cheap car thats light and begging for me to cut up into something fast. Kind of settled on a KE70 now though

I know of a heap of earlier model KE's that are currently up for sale. I think my mate has around 8 from KE20 up to KE55.

The above opinion is just that - my opinion. It is not shared by any business that I am currently or have previously been involved with, nor any of their employee's.
PM me details please gents
I'd prefer a 70 over a 71 just because I think they look a little tougher but Im flexible.
I dont need an engine or gearbox or interior but I'd like the rest of it to be there
