This is tragic...
I never met James, nor spoke to him, but it saddens me enormously to see such a nice guy take his life at such a young age and especially when he had so much more to give to the Toymods community. Depression can be a bitch.
I dedicate my sympathies and condolences to his grieving family.
Sorry for your loss Ross, always sad to hear a young person taking their life.

Wow this is huge news, after meeting James at a few Toymods events up here and helping him detail the Supra for Toyofest last year. I was really looking forward to him sharing a room at dubbo, for Toyota Nationals.
Best wishes to all the family

so sorry for your trouble from Sid in Ireland,
I've been away from the forums for a couple of months now (busy renovating and working) and only just learned of this today via Shelldrake.Originally Posted by bman
That is one of my most fond memories of James. I've never forgotten it and I bring it up at every chance. It was how I remember James, always happy to do something to put a smile on someone else's face and just a happy-go-lucky type of guy.
A car load of P platers rocked up to our meet on the beach down in Werribee. They were having a go at us and talking themselves up, revving their car up and generally just being wankers. James in all his glory said "fcuk this", jumped in his RA65 Celica and took off sideways after them. Down a dirt road he went, flat stick. After 100m they stopped with James in persuit... to this day I don't know how he pulled that car up and didn't just smash right into the back of them.
I had the pleasure of hanging out with James several times and different meets and events, he was always such a top bloke. He helped me out a few times picking up parts and dropping them off to me in Melbourne.
You'll never be forgotten - rest in peace.

thanks Andrew, that’s a much better recollection than mine. one of those fantastic moments that has certainly stayed with me all these years later.Originally Posted by -NiCkeL-
