    Default Intercooler - Too Big?

    I got myself a generic 600 x 300 x 76 intercoooler awhile ago and now I wanna use it.
But it got me thinking into wether or not its too big for my application. Plus the outlet / inlet are on the same side so theres going to a fair bit of piping.

I'm also going to running factory boost. So will it make it too laggy? Is the 1GGTE cooler good enough?

    Car is MX83 and 7MGTE.

That cooler will be fine, heaps of people are using them. The 1GGTE one will be "good enough" but not "as good" in its cooling capacity. Just make sure your radiator is cleaned too as the last thing you want is an overheating 7M.

If its a 300 high x 600 tubelength x 76 thick cooler with the inlet and outlet on the side and it has horizontal tubes then its actually a 150x1200x76 and will actually flow less than the standard 1g cooler.

we had a car here with a similar style of intercooler and to make 13psi at the TB it had to make 27psi at the turbo, not much chop really.

post a pic of it and ill let you know if its worth using or not.

Its one of these just doesn't have a cooling pro stencil on it. I've seen these on heaps of Cressida's but they run 1JZ's and don't have to have piping coming back to the same side as the turbo.

I'd like to find one that size but with bars with a radius on them rather than the flat face that typically comes with the cheap imports

    dramatically increase airflow...

i.e. tube and fin or similar delta fin.

They're just as easy to come across as bar and plate as pictured above.
