Collective lessons learnt at Toynats 2009:

Prepare your car mechanically BEFORE departure from Canberra
Don't let dodgy workshops build your car (no names, I don't wan't litigation against me)
You can never carry too many tools
Bring your own pillow
Don't book a room with a known snorer
Save the heartache & order plain steak, not Ned Kelly pies a the bakery
Take a respirator for the khana
Bring an umbrella
and finally..... don't encourage your mrs to come along, otherwise the tears will be heavier than the rain

I reckon she cracked it due to the lack of ned kellies, I know I almost did.

I'll add to the lessons learnt:

Bring gum boots for when your neighbours miss the toilet and piss on your floor.
Don't room near jockeys.
Fix leaking panel even though it never rains in Dubbo.
Buy honeybadger DVD and look into importation of honeybadger.
Bring axe.
Bring stronger tie downs or weaker Casey's.
Bring air freshener for rooms.
Buy lumbar cushion for drivers seat.
Make more elaborate "display" for next years show and shine.

Read the supp regs prior to the event so you know both runs count toward the aggregate time and not your best of two
