the poitn is, that the REAL LCA goes between the inner pivot point, and the ball joint pivot.
if you don't move the inner pivot up, or the ball joint down, all you are doing is making the LCA "curved" with no effect on the roll centre at all.
ie, putting spacer between balljoint and LCA has no effect. at all.
to have an effect you MUST move the ball joint pivot down, which is the point of putting in an RCA
edit:
the spacer in GT's diagram will add a small amount of track and camber, but should not affect the roll centre.
(it might help with anti-rollbar clearance perhaps?)

That looks a lot like the rear upright in an AW11. They use a flanged balljoint, so a spacer between the the upright flange and the BJ flange would have achieved the same thing.Originally Posted by -GT-
