My Sparco Pro2000 seats have an ADR compliance sticker
They also have mounting holes on the bottom as well as the side so they can be affixed to rails.

hmmm thats interesting as theyre competition seats and i was looking at the Evo 2's for my fat arse and they were also compies... my understanding is that the compies were all side mounted... but if they have bottom mounts too... that makes things a lot easier...

Chris, if you have a fat arse, by god we're all overweight!

and takai, id appreciate you not referring to me as "son"

AFAIK all ADR'd seats need to have the sticker/label on them, are yours second hand? maybe have been torn-off/misplaced?

My Autotecnica seat is side mount (if I understand what you mean by sidemount correctly)
But it comes with right angled brackets that make it bottom mount.

    Kinda see it here

only a limited number of sparco seats were ever tested for adr compliance.
the fixed back seats that were tested are as follows:
    sprint/speed
fighter (a version of the evo2)
    pro2000

none of the seats come with any adr stickering

Before you part with any of your hard earned you had better make sure that you get the paper/sticker/tag that states that seat is ADR compliant or you can fall foul of the system.
Having put a few cars over the pits here in WA, I know that the (younger cops) are smarter about cars and the engineers will be reluctant to sign off on a non-ADR compliant seat in your car.

depends on engineer etc- when i engineered my aw11 (3sge swap) i also fitted sparco speed seats. i fitted them the the original toyota rails- something that seemed to be more important than the seat's supplied adr paperwork - lets be homest, a seat that passes any fia testing will exceed adr's - it's the mounting that is very important!

i had a customer come through here with a small block 500hp v8 260z. his seat was mounted into the car with 4 wood screws through the floor! i kid you not!!!

They are the Velos i got the other day. Came from an RS. The mounting that you see is two pieces of right angle alloy of 4mm thickness, with a fairly random assortment of bolts, average grade around 3. Oh yeah, and spaced out from the stock seat rails with random washers of varying sizes.
Its like screaming at the world "kill me when i have an accident"

    Seats are comfy though

Anyone know what year ADRs started to "cover" seats? the ADRs don't all date from 1972.

the tag on the pic is ADR 03/02, is this the first of ADRs with seats? what I.m interested in is at what date do cars have to have an ADR on the seats.example. the ADR which made side intrusion bars compulsory came in in 1978, cars prior don't have to have them for engineering a rebuild, I'm about to hit the"I'm feeling lucky" button with an engineer, car is re- engined 1976 Z,(v v t 1JZ)not going to be hit with no side intrusion bars because car predates the ADR, BUT.... I've put in some late 1990s MR2 seats, milk crates were about as comfortable as the original Datsun ones, still using the factory MR2 rails, but had to space the mounting points on the floor to meet the new rails, is this going to create problems?

    ben,

i'm yet to see that sticker on a sparco seat - must have been a "special"

splatt, i think you need to talk to an auto engineer & ask what he wants, but spacing the mounting point does not sound so good - did you make up a bar that goes across both mounts or is it washers?
