sounds like a cool idea. would need a lot of organisation tho.
pencil me in, sounds too good to miss out on. tho a second driver would prob me a must.
Hey guys, i'm looking at organising a 2 or 3 day cruise down south, probably with a couple of mini-shows along the way, and some winery visits / touristy things as well..
would many people from here be interested in coming along?
It wouldn't be all Toyota's, would probably end up being open to anyone who was willing to spend the weekend with us.... (Providing they were going to take part and enjoy themselves, ie. anyone who would spend the weekend whinging that there's too many jap cars or too many of anything wouldn't be coming)
I'd ideally like to end up getting 50 or so cars to come for the weekend, but I accept that being the first year, and the first time I've run a cruise for over a year, numbers might be pretty low....

Sounds good Fil, are you going to organise accomodation before we leave?
About to go Exterior crazy.
i will say pencil me in... depending on when etc... kinda busy with uni, but depending on time i may be in.. not saying anything for certain coz i said yes to the OST cruise and ended up projectile vomiting all sunday![]()

but sounds like a real good idea....
may i suggest the road between Balingup and Bridgetown... drove that way a while ago and its 40+ k's of winding road with awesome views..
Stomps
yer i would be in pending dates etc. as said by stomps.
cool to see some initiative for ideas like this,
would be awesome if all turns out well
What about a stop in Dunsborough for a BBQ at the beach?
Ben: yeah, if we do this, it'll be a group booking for accomodation both nights, i reckon one of the nights will be at the Augusta pub, as i'd really like to do a show n shine there, and perhaps lunch at the Bootleg Brewery or Rivendell with a little display there as well...
a very rough idea of what i have in my head atm....
depart perth early arvo friday, stay somewhere around Dunsborough / Margerets friday night.... (perhaps arvo stop at Rivendell on the way to Margerets)
Cruise from there to visit some of the wineries around the MR area, then could do a long lunch at one of them, like the Berry Farm or at the Bootleg...
From there, head to Augusta for dinner, and a few drinks as the pub... there's a huge lawn just out the back that looks pretty good for a show n shine type deal on Sunday morning, then head back to Perth around lunch time (altho ideally would stop somewhere sunday night too and make it a real leisurely trip, just means people would need 2 days off work as well....)
ummm spewin for those under 18..... ie. <-----------
lol
afaik, none of the places i'm thinking of will kick you out if you're under age, they just won't serve you alcohol... which the drivers shuldn't be drinking much of anyway (except at the end of the day)
delete me i hate tech no la gee

albany has a classic car race every year and on the day before there is a hill climb which im fairly sure that any one can enter, it may be worth to arange a weekend with that. that is if u wanna come further south, we have got some great winereys around denmark, mt barker. but im intrested on joining yous on part of the cruise, just gotta get my mates 86 on the road or just take the work ute. but if u want more details on the hill climb just ask.
