Headlight protectors round 7 inch

I am trying to locate a pair of these to go on my H4's. They are the convex ones that basically slip onto the outer rim of the glass.

Does anyone know where I could get some? In the good old days I would have just nipped into W L Ryans..... Those were the days.

Have tried ebay, google without success.

a while back when i was in the autoparts industry we had some stick on 3M headlight protectors. cut to shape/size and stick on. they worked well even on spot lights, didnt discolour or peel off. might be worth asking at a autoparts shop to see if they are still available.

I can vouch for those stick on ones . i used lightskins from Kmart many years ago , still havent gone yellow of faded after 10 years.

Correct. The mesh ones seem pretty easy to come by. I found one plastic one at a wreckers but surely they are still available.

I will check out the 3M's or lightskins, they sound promising. Problem with the Hella & Bosch H4's is a tendency to be badly sandblasted over time.

Or if you are behind Steve Howard down a dirt road and he decides to drop the clutch......

parrot, visit your local plastics supplier. One of the first things a plastic fabricator learns how to do is make a set of headlight covers. Really simple, find an oven proof bowl the same diameter as your headlights, lay some "thermo plastic" over the top of the bowl place in mums kitchen oven and watch the plastic sag into the bowl. You will need to secure the outer edge otherwise it will end up looking like a tulip! Use an oven tray and some of mum's baking beads.Y ou then trim the piece to secure under the existing mount ring.

...sounds too much like hard work ......just ring up Bursons........the company called Hansa still make them........my bro who works for Kenworth gets them as they have the 7" headlights.......he found me 5 and 3/4 ones for my Celica and they are the shiznit........just ring Bursons and they will track them down in 2 seconds...even transport them to your nearest store for free too!
