cushion button and dont look back![]()
Hi everyone, i just purchased a JZA70 supra that is in need of a new clutch.
Has the original worn out clutch in it atm and its slipping badly.
Mods at the moment are: 3" from Ypipe back and an intake. Running stock boost.
I'm after a good streetable clutch that i can slip. Plans later are to get it up to around 220rwkw so i'll need a clutch that could handle around that or 200ish mark, but i'll be driving it 99% of the time on the street.
Im thinking a full faced organic should do the job, and I can get an exedy for a decent price.
This is what exedy offer off the shelf:
Heavy Duty Kit TYK-6571 HD
Heavy Duty Button Kit TYK-6571 HDB
Heavy Duty Cushion Button Kit TYK-6571 HDCB
Welcome to hear any other opinions/experiences
thanks

Just looked at the pricing on the cushion button rrp $1000+ !!
I was told the full faced heavy duty will handle apparently 260kw @ flywheel. with 15%drivetrain loss will be about the max i'll need, so i'm leaning towards just getting that..
Anything else i should consider under the $700 price range?
For those that dont know jza70 = 1jzgte + r154

^^ thanks for that, sounds a bit much for what i'll be needing though.
Spoke to Jim Berry from Raceclutch and it looks as though i'll be going that route. Bit dearer than an exedy (organic) but i think it will be worth it.![]()
