Default Dual A Pillar Gauge Holders To Suit 86?

hey guys.. finally my gauges arrived this week woo.,
thinking of putting 2 in some sort of pillar mount setup and 1 in right hand air duct! (ae86)

i brought a universal pillar holder and done my best to modify it to fit.. but i reckon it looks shit.
it sits from the door rubber to about 20mm into the front window area.
anyone been thru this? and know of a nice slim line pillar mount from another make and model that would fit nicely? with a bit of modding of course!!

anyone have some install pics also or could point me in the right direction!
    cheers

i bought a Trust or Apexi one for my R33 that was designed for my model car, they had a few other models and it sat pretty flush. Bit pricey though

A pillar gauge pods are great to use, but unfortunatly they do make your car a bit unroadworthy, so might not be the best for a street car(basically your replacing a piece of padded foam designed to stop your head without busting it, replaced by a non padded piece with steel lumps in it)
would you be able to take the existing A pillar cover and mould some on some gause cups out of fibreglass? would end up nice and neat and you could get the gauge location exactly right.
    GA23(never finished-now with cracked block ) JZX83 (Tyre eater) 3sgte AE86. by now i should know better.
