can it be reverse engineered from the standard shifter?
Hey all,
I was given this short shifter as a gift and unfortunately I received it without instructions in the box. Thinking that I was smarter than the average Hong Kong grease monkey, I thought i'd be able to nut it out by now... To my dismay, i've come the conclusion it's a complete piece of junk. I'm hoping someone out there has seen this before and can tell me where everything is supposed to go!! I can't believe someone would design something so retarded.. Anywho, here's a pic of everything I got:
Please help!! Otherwise i'm going to melt this thing into a paperweight![]()
can it be reverse engineered from the standard shifter?
The stock shaft is machined differently unfortunately! It's design for the pivot bearing and reverse lockout shaft cannot be swapped. I think i'll just sell this thing (as i'm rather content with the stock job) and get a lightweight flywheel instead..Originally Posted by MR22ZZ

edit: can you take a couple of pics of the shaft, and the lockout thing, to see any grooves or holes or stuff.. and what is the cup/tube thing near them?
we can work this out
made by OBX?

A paper weight? That brings pain to our hearts and tears to our eyes man!
Mate if its anything like the 360gig Sony usb stick I came across yesterday, then you are down the proverbial creek in the barbed wire canoe without a paddle...

Sounds like this shifter has wasted similar amounts of your time to this usb stick also![]()
