Try Jif, It should be perfect for what your trying to do.
Pop down to the shops and in the cleaning section grab a bottle.

Use a rough sponge or cloth, as it works best, but scrub slowly and lightly, from time to time check what you've done just to be safe.

Probably worth trying a non visible area of the car first to see how it is. ie try the inside of the door behind the trim. That way if you stuff your paint it doesnt matter since you won't see it.

Okay well i finished getting most of the marks off and below i have pictures of the products i used also have pictures of the light yellow glue marks left which still needs to be removed i tried some el cheepo jiff it was to abbrasive so i stopped.

BEFORE STARTED CLEANING NOTICE BLACK MARKS ON THE SIDE

Auto clym required too much work for little affect so i give it a 4/10 rating

MACQUIRES WAX DID THE JOB BUT TOO REQUIRED ALOT TO APPLY AND REQUIRED ALOT OF EFFORT. HAD A GREAT SHINE AFTERWARDS RATING 7/10

REPO WORKED GREAT LIFTED DIRT WITH EASE INSTANT RESULTS WOULD RECONMEND TO ANYONE 9/10

Though thee product all had some effect they still didnt life the vague yellow glue marks it did dim them but didnt completely get rid of them.

    AFTER

These are th emarks still eft and it looks to be the drivers side is worse then the passenger side. Also a previous owner has used some kind of wd-40 in the drivers doors lock which has then run down the door to the trim then spread across basically stripping the paint.

Since none of that worked to get rid of it completely I suggest you go to an auto detailer and have them buff the whole car.

    Hi,

If It's too deep dont try cut and polish otherwise your going to ruin the rest of your paint by the time you get down to those marks.

You'll have to spraypaint over the damaged area's, white is the best colour when doing touch ups or spraying over, as you wont really notice it much, so you should be fine.

But if you think cut and polish might do as vash suggested, try that.
