    Default 2s-c help

    Hi, i have a 2s-c in my celica and it wont idle because one of the vacum lines is off, when i bought the car it was missing a few but was still idling good. which are the important ones? like from where to where? and which ones can i get rid off because they are really annoying

    I would suggest keeping the distributor vac advance and the brake booster attached. All vac lines are of some importance. If you have some disconnected then you probably have a vacuum leak causing the rough idle. There are a heap of annoying ones there for pollution gear but I suggest keep them on or block off the holes. I believe there is a vac lines diagram on the underside of the bonnet if its an sa63. Hope this helps.

    It's a 2-S, so you're off to a bad start, but moving on. be sure to check the head around the thermostat housing. They have a nasty habit of cracking here.

    An engine needs these three things to run:
    1. Spark
    2. Fuel (in your case, no vacuum in the manifold means no flow though carburetor --> no fuel)
    3. Compression

    Emissions rubbish is just that, rubbish. Pull it off, Block it off or connect it somewhere so it's not open to atmosphere. The only real important one is the vac line to the distributer.
