    Default converting 7mgte to 7mGE

    ok guys got a qn from a mate. i kno its possible of course but has anyone done it.
    reason been for p platers cant drive turbos and the soarer has 7mgte in so we were gonna rip off turbo mani and turbo and put in a GE exctractors n exhaust. but i kno the car wil run slow as but anything else do i have to change for him??
    Z20 SOARER WHORE (totalling 14 z20s so far)

    would be an absolute dog to drive mate, low compression 6 cyl, no thanks!

    you hardly feel much diff between the gte an ge engines running them NA. I put many gte,s in cressidas running NA and yes if you didn't know you couldn't notice any diff .

    but man stock 3L in 1600kg car is gonna be slow lol

    Ive never run a GTE with GTE managment in NA form . Only a GTE in NA form with NA managment.

    not much point, would have to swap quite a few things over to support the ge ecu. Could run water injection to bump up the compression, but should be fine without a turbo.

    The GTE ecu is tuned from full vacuum to near 1 bar boost.
    It will run fine in NA form.

    As cambelt said, the difference will be barely noticeable compared to a GE.
    I can happily take off from a stop in 2nd gear with my GTE (and thats with a 3.58 diff).

    The 7M has truck loads of low end torque.

    yeh thats what i like about the 7ms is the ammount fo torque they have

    Water doesn't compress.. Inject it at a controlled rate relative to rpm and in theory you could dynamically increase your cr..
