thanks for clearing that up emp...i confused myself

cheers faulksy...personally i'd only trust a t series to get you so far...i'm hovering around the 200rwhp mark with plans to get it between 230-250. The axles aren't exactly huge by any stretch of the imagination so im interested to see how they will hold up under the stress. I've heard of some people running an E series diff although im not sure about the particulars...apparently its lighter than the F & G series but i cant confirm this myself yet

banjo centre's come out from the front of the diff. rear cover plate does not come off. either way both are weak, i did two reasonable launches and my side gears were gone. note side gears do not make a diff whine it is bad tooth contact between the pinion and crown wheel that make noise and give no real indicatinn of when the diff will blow. i did the skyline conversion in my car. if you can do most of the part sourcing and angle grinding yourself you should get change out of 500 bucks. when doing it pinion angle is cruitial if you get it wrong it will throw tailshafts. borg warner lsd centres may not be as strong as hilux diffs (i dont know either way) but parts are alot more availible than T series. my mate broke about 8 axles with 120kw in a t series diff. i launch my ke35 @ 6 grand quiet regularly and my diff is still holding strong. my car is pumping 134kw @ wheels not enourmous power but its fun

Hey mate, just wanted to say if you have the money go for the hilux or commodore diff. I have a commodore diff in my ke it cost be 1200 for mini spool different gear ratio and shortening. My first ke30 had a 4k with some head work, a webber and exhaust and went through two celica diffs. Maybe i was just unlucky and found two dud diffs.
