Having never actually "raced" around Eastern Creek, I'm really keen on it, but I've been told its really one of those tracks you need to be fully prepped for (which I ain't yet )
Wakefield's a lot easier to trial things out (smaller track, doesn't have a high speed turn like turn 1).
EC also seems to be a lot harder to get a day booked, it's a lot more popular.

Im happy with a difficult track cause i dont see my car being well prepped for any kind of circuit

Plus, i saw EC for the first time in a long time at PC and am super keen to have a go on it

Few things to sort on my car before than though, so im happy with a wait

jeeez, call that a cop out! ...you dont have to go full baller styles like me you can take it out and push it at your own liking!,

wakefiled is 200k away, so your better of breaking somethine at EC.

I'm still planning to go, but will like others will pay closer to the event.

I'll keep an eye on this thread in case the date changes..

Did you see my car the only time I'm had it at Wakefield? I'd be worried about someone rear ending me coz I'd need to brake that hard into turn 1.
And my other car is yet to get the engine & roll cage in it, so more time the better.

ah, i remember why i chose August now!! thanks for the reminders......
Garth is doing a wakefield day in June
July was not good for the driving solutions guys and may is too close to nationals...in terms of cost

    so the only options are:
    3rd June
    19th August (which is booked)

    thoughts???

EC is a much more challenging track to drive than wakefield but we are broken up in to groups of "ability" and moved throughout the day given your ability or lack of....
so dont be worried if your car isnt up to scratch
Last time i went out to EC, i drove like a grandma on my first lap....it is such a wide track, people can easily pass you if you arent confidant going flat out for the whole track

I found wakefield more harsh on teh car, and heavier on teh brakes compared to EC.

    really?
I would have though EC would have more high-speed braking (not that I've driven EC, so couldn't comment). I think the creek would be better suited to our JZA80s

Got to disagree with you there Koffee! EC is definately harder on brakes - Wakefield has pretty low speeds and 3 stops per lap, EC has the big stop at 2, then also 4, 7, 9, 11, and some of you brake at 1 too; most of which are as big as anything at WP. Given the higher speeds you dissipate a lot more energy, surely?! Maybe you get a lap or 2 more into the same length session at WP, but on a per lap basis no way.

Maybe you're just not going hard enough at EC..?
