Will a A341E fit onto a 7M?

So back to the original poster, it would seem the input shaft on this (turbo?) tranny probably won't be compatible with your 7M torque converter.

At first I would say no. Reason being the 7M TC is much smaller(thinner) than the V8 units(and turbo one's as well I'd imagine) so your bell housing is matched to the thickness of the TC. I remember noting this when I had both sitting side by side last year. I'm sure the V8 Bell housing was much deeper compared to my 7M unit to suit it's larger TC inside.
The only possibility I can think off is to swap the input shafts over by removing the oil pump from the front. The input shaft is part of the over-drive gearset which comes out quite easily once you get the knack. They are very similar in looks but it's only something I'd try if I had both sitting side by side again and plenty of time to spare. Unfortunately everything went to the tip only few weeks ago. I had two A340E's(one good one sorry) from behind a 7M Cress and a A343F from a Hilux surf. All I have left is two V8 boxes.

Hey i really appreciate the help.

I couldn't get to the box as it's under so other car parts...

I will ask the mechanic to move it for me.
