Default Brake M/C and Booster selection help.

OK guys.Currently on the wagon I am running

PBR twin piston sliding calipars that are 44mm each
and MS112 rears single piston slider at 33mm and a Kingswood master cylinder.

the fronts are boosted with a VH40 rears aren't boosted. Now I've got a problem that the rears don't really do much work (i.e the rears stay a little rusty even after a couple of days of driving) and I lock the fronts really easily.

Now i'm going to be going in auto which allows me to get a booster up on the fire wall. I am also looking at going G series with the MA70 rear brake set up.

I also have a UZS131 booster and M/C lying around. The UZS131 crown has 57mm single piston fronts with 35mm rears.

Now I wondering wether this will be a good setup for what the system I want to use or should I be looking at going Ma70 M/c and booster??

    Thanks for any input

You'll need a master cylinder bore around 1"(maybe 1 1/16") to suit the dual piston fronts(are they VT callipers?). The UZS master would most likely be at least this big if it was ABS equipped.

    Got pics of UZS booster?

From my experience with the MS112 booster I would not recommend to use that particular booster as it is a bit bulky and takes up space where you could fit large turbos instead. I only used it to attempt to satisfy the qld engineers.
If I already had the car regoed I would use a subaru booster and master because I have tonnes of them and they are very reliable and fairly compact. They also come in 1" and 1 1/16" bore size which is suitable for 4 piston front/single rear applications.
It would have been easier for me to mount a subaru booster too as the 4 bolt pattern is smaller so would have suited the pedal box better. I may change it over post rego.

Love to see pics of Rod's setup to compare notes also.

If you think one of the subaru booster/masters might be of use let me know, I will give you one for beer money plus post.

yeah I'm well and truly thru engineering,

I would go Rod's set up but I think your set up is much better and takes up less room. (there is pics of his or similar in the Crown thread. I remeber he said his was like jeffro's)

From what I have seen the UZS booster looks very similar to the 112. Size etc

Got any pics of the subaru set ups??

What is the pedal feel like on the subie set up?? as my pedal is damm had and its one thing I want to get rid of

I'll get some measurements of the booster and master today. I have used the master cylinder off the subaru on a mustang that we did 4 wheel discs conversion on and the pedal is not hard at all. That was wilwood 4 spot front and Eb falcon rear. It is 1 1/16" on that one but 1" is also available to tailor the fluid displacement to wahtever you require.

Ok, there are two booster diameters. 230mm and 250mm. The flange pattern for the booster to firewall is 80 x 60mm. The centre hole is ~ 55mm.
There are 2 master cylinders. One 1 1/16' with two outlets and one 1" with 4 outlets.
The overall length from firewall to end of master is 275mm.

Very small pic I found to give you an idea.
