i had one, it worked ok for a while, then it started randomly spiking and overboosting. my ebc would detect this and pull all the boost out of the motor. replaced the gate with a turbosmart one and the problem disappeared. i think it lasted about 3 months or so before it caused problems.

I have 1 on my twin charger set up. Holds (turbo) boost fine so far, but haven't actually used it that much.

if you are prepared to go over it and clean up machining, and maybe shange the diaphragm when it breaks etc.. might be a cheaper way to start.

they are likely no different to any other ebay offering tho. ie cheap.

heh heh justjap is such a misnomer

Synapse synchronic WGs (diaphramless) are the latest and greatest and i have heard nothing but very good reports on their perf thus far. Tall buggers though so too tough for me to fit on the GT8 so i'm happy to stay with the turbosmart deltagates.

The Chinese stuff works but quality is so variable that you could buy 10 before you get a good one...false economy?

    Don't do it.

A mate had two on a V8 and they kept sticking, needed to be machined and the diaphragms were weak as piss and not fabric reinforced.

    Utter utter garbage.

Don't be stingy and buy decent gear. It will only cost a bit more and you get piece of mind!
