    My car did this when I did the conversion to Jza70, ended up being the ECU, it would start... run fine, then just drive like shit and pretty much die. I used an auto jza70 (I think) and it was all fine.

    i have confirmed it is the ecu. im goin to change the caps but im not sure about what i need to buy. also what does the plug that comes out of the ecu do?

    You will need the following:
    33uf, 35V
    15uf, 35V
    47uf, 63V
    220uf, 10V
    100uf, 10V
    Get these and find a TV repairman or have a go yourself or ask someone on here to do it for a carton and it will be done.

    ^ theres also a jza70 manual ecu "without leaking caps" for $150 on ebay atm.

    true but i changed jobs a few months ago and took a MASSIVE pay cut and since then everything that could go wrong has and now im a poor bastard

    ok guys i had my caps replaced today and didnt fix my problem. i dont want to spend money going backwards so what am i expected to pay for aftermarket ecus including tuning.

    Once again swap ecu's with someone to ensure its not the ecu and the tracks are gone even though you have replaced the caps. You NEED to do this to rule out the ecu as the issue.

    dont throw away your old ecu. It probly could still be fixed.
