sound slike you're doing it wrong
pic of what you are trying to fit where?
gasket goo seems impractical to stop pressurised oil pissing out.
I have an RA28 withan 3TG CT20 conversion.
.
Have had to pull the turbo for an o'haul, welsh plugs and other things have
now reassembled THREE TIMES due oil leak.
.
My problem is no matter what I do I cannot stop oil leaking (pissing out)
between the oil feed and the base of the turbo (snapped a cheapie socket)
The oil feed and return (to engine) are as one unit holds up turbo.
Am thinking ........
[1] I am using the wrong gasket goo. What gasket goo are you using???
[2] I need to do something fancy with the gasket (cut it so bolts can pull
down tighter??? Bolts one each end of flange.
Got the weekend to work on it, hope to get it to turbo shop next week.

AU$TRALIA... come and stay and PAY and PAY!!! The moral high horse of the world!
the picture below is of the oil pipe (left) and where it connects to the turbo (right).

the oil pours out of the middle of these when all bolted up
May I assume the turbo you are actually playing with on the car has been properly cleaned unlike the one in the pic?![]()
If both surfaces (turbo and oil/water input fitting) are both totally clean and the gasket is fresh and new, then I would think A) the input fitting may be warped/bent or B) the turbo may have a blockage in the oil input (turbo side) forcing the oil out between the turbo and fitting.
Thats my 2c worth...
Cheers
fwiw: i ended up re-using a metal shim gasket and sprayed some hylomar on it before assembly of oil lines to my turbo. A paper gasket there might be squirming when you tighten it significantly.
From memory, those bolts on a CT26 turbo do not have a high torque rating for assembly.
I'd also check that: oil inlet is not blocked (put hose on it and try to blow), either face is not warped, clean both faces with metho before re-assembly, bolt/stud thread doesn't end prematurely so nut is pulling down flange securely.
When I couldn't get the right gasket i made a copper one and used the copper base silicone
