    Ok cheers. Well i have already purchased the same shit (autothane). I dont like chance of taking it back (i opened tin to check colour difference).

    Anyhow, ill take engine bay back to bare metal and go from there. Should have the whole deal primed soon

    yes you can put 2 pac over acrylic. If your not to fussy just go over acyrlic with same process as in metal prep you might get some shrinkage showing through but in engine bay not so noticeble to laymen and the longer you let primer dry the less shrinkage

    autothane is ok just dont try and force it to dry ie. in the booth just let it dry over night. and a big hint to make it last longer use a clear over it, you dont have to but makes the pain last a lot longer. and people will say use a good ppg clear but seriously straight from the foremans mouth from where i used to work the clear that autothane sell is one of the best clears on the market all but probably the high performance clears from house of colour etc.

    I was told today that Autothane was brought out originally for panel shops that didnt use PPG primarily. I was then told that now alot of people are using because it works well.....

    Anyhow, time will tell. I am actually ment to be rubbing it back now!
